AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "An unusual encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine cult.
The adventure focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Content
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
